We kicked off Orientation Week at ELTE Faculty of Humanities with a Welcome Ceremony, celebrating the arrival of nearly 700 international students. The new cohort includes participants in Erasmus exchange programmes and recipients of the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship, as well as students enrolled in Foundation, BA, MA programmes and PhD studies.
The event began with an inaugural address by Dr. Orsolya Réthelyi, Vice-Dean for International Affairs followed by informative presentations from the Department of International Affairs, student representatives, and faculty lecturers.

The Faculty’s international coordinators are excited to welcome our new ELTE citizens and support their integration into university life through shared experiences and community-building initiatives.
ELTE’s Faculty of Humanities continues to lead the field of humanities in Hungary, both in terms of academic excellence and international appeal. Its interdisciplinary approach, global partnerships, and research-driven teaching make it a hub for students passionate about culture, language, and society. The record number of international students joining in the 2025 autumn semester confirms the Faculty’s growing global reputation.
